Cart Management¶
Purpose¶
Cart Management allows you to view, monitor, and manage customer shopping carts. Track active carts, identify abandoned carts for recovery campaigns, and convert carts to orders. This feature is essential for understanding customer behavior, recovering lost sales, and managing cart-related operations.
Accessing Carts¶
Click Modules → Orders & Sales → Carts
List View¶

The list displays all customer carts with their status and key metrics.
Table Columns¶
ID¶
- Format: Number
- Purpose: Unique cart identifier
User¶
- Format: Customer name or "Guest"
- Purpose: Shows who owns the cart
- Guest carts: Display with a user icon and "Guest" label
Items¶
- Format: Badge with count
- Purpose: Number of items in the cart
Subtotal¶
- Format: Currency amount
- Purpose: Total value of cart items
Status¶
- Format: Colored badge
- Purpose: Current cart state
- Colors:
- Green: Active
- Gray: Expired
- Yellow: Abandoned
- Blue: Converted to Order
Last Activity¶
- Format: Date/time with "X days ago" description
- Purpose: When items were last added
Expires At¶
- Format: Date/time
- Purpose: When the cart will automatically expire
- Color: Red if already expired
Order¶
- Format: Order ID link (hidden by default)
- Purpose: Links to the converted order (if any)
Cart Statuses¶
Active¶
- Customer is actively shopping
- Cart is visible to customer
- Can be converted to order
Abandoned¶
- Customer left without completing purchase
- Target for recovery campaigns
- Can send reminder notifications
Expired¶
- Cart exceeded its expiration date
- Items are released from hold
- Cart is no longer visible to customer
Converted to Order¶
- Cart has been converted to an order
- Links to the created order
- Historical record retained
Filtering Carts¶
The list includes powerful filtering options:
Status Filter¶
Filter by cart status (Active, Expired, Abandoned, Converted)
User Filter¶
Search and filter by specific customer
Has Items Filter¶
- With Items: Carts containing products
- Empty Carts: Carts with no items
Expired Filter¶
- Expired: Past expiration date
- Not Expired: Still active
Guest Cart Filter¶
- Guest: Anonymous visitor carts
- Registered: Logged-in user carts
Product Search¶
Find carts containing a specific product
Age Filter¶
Filter by minimum cart age in days
Date Range Filters¶
- Created From/Until: Filter by creation date
- Last Activity From/Until: Filter by activity date

See complete cart details including items
Edit¶
Modify cart contents and status
Convert to Order¶
- Icon: Arrow circle
- Color: Green
- Visibility: Active carts with items and registered user
- Creates a new order from the cart
- Marks the cart as converted
Mark as Abandoned¶
- Icon: Clock
- Color: Yellow
- Visibility: Active carts only
- Flags the cart for recovery campaigns

Mark as Expired¶
Expire multiple active carts
Delete¶
Remove selected carts (requires permission)
Editing a Cart¶
Click Edit to modify an existing cart.
Cart Information Tab¶
User¶
- Type: Searchable select
- Purpose: Assign cart to a registered user
- Note: Leave empty for guest carts
Status¶
- Type: Select dropdown
- Options: Active, Expired, Abandoned, Converted
- Purpose: Manually change cart status
Last Item Added¶
- Type: Date/time (read-only)
- Purpose: Shows when items were last added
Expires At¶
- Type: Date/time picker
- Purpose: Set or extend cart expiration
Notes¶
- Type: Text area
- Purpose: Internal notes about the cart

Manage the items in the cart:
Add Item¶
Click "Add Item" to add products to the cart
Product¶
- Type: Searchable select
- Purpose: Select the product to add
Variation¶
- Type: Searchable select
- Purpose: Select product variation (if available)
- Display: Shows SKU and attribute values
Quantity¶
- Type: Number input
- Minimum: 1
- Purpose: Set item quantity
Key Information¶
- Navigation Badge: Shows count of active carts with items
- Guest Carts: Identified by session ID, not user account
- Auto-Expiration: Carts expire automatically based on settings
- Conversion: Only registered user carts can be converted to orders
- Recovery: Mark abandoned carts to trigger recovery notifications
- Filtering: Comprehensive filters help identify recovery opportunities
