What Is ZainCash?
ZainCash is a mobile wallet from Zain Iraq and one of the most widely used ways to pay online in Iraq. Customers keep money in their wallet on their phone and pay with it, with no bank card needed.
For an online store, ZainCash provides a secure payment page: your customer is sent there to pay from their wallet, then comes straight back to your store. You never handle their wallet details, and you do not need to build anything.
Key Features
- Pay Without a Card: Many shoppers in Iraq have no bank card but do have a ZainCash wallet. Accepting it opens your store to all of them.
- Simple, Secure Payment: The customer enters their wallet number and PIN on the ZainCash page, then confirms with a code sent to their phone.
- Iraqi Dinar Payments: Payments are charged in Iraqi dinars, which keeps your accounts simple.
- Refunds from Your Dashboard: Refund an order from Trinavo and the full amount goes back to the customer's wallet.
- Test Before You Go Live: ZainCash gives you test details, so you can run through the whole checkout before a real customer sees it.
Built for the Iraqi Market
Many shoppers in Iraq do not have a bank card, and many who would happily buy online are stopped at the payment step because the store only takes cards. A mobile wallet removes that barrier: the customer pays from the phone they already carry.
Adding ZainCash next to cash on delivery lets your customers pay before the order ships, which means fewer refused deliveries and money in your account sooner.
Supported Regions and Currencies
ZainCash operates in Iraq and charges in Iraqi dinars. It is a strong fit for any store whose customers are in Iraq. If your store is priced in another currency, Trinavo converts the order total to dinars using your exchange rates before sending the customer to pay.
Integration with Trinavo
Trinavo provides a native integration with ZainCash. Your store is ready for it out of the box: there is nothing to install, no developer to hire, and no custom work to commission.
To connect it, open your payment settings, choose ZainCash, and paste the details ZainCash sends you when you open a merchant account. You can keep test details and live details side by side and move between them with a single switch, so you can try the whole flow before going live.
Your store also shows you one web address to send to ZainCash, who register it for your account. ZainCash uses it to tell your store about payments, so even a customer who pays and closes the page straight away still gets their order confirmed. Your customer is sent to the ZainCash page, pays from their wallet, and comes back to your store. The order is confirmed automatically, and every payment appears in your Trinavo dashboard alongside your other gateways.
Security and Compliance
The ZainCash payment page keeps your customer's wallet number and PIN away from your store entirely.
Before an order is marked as paid, your store checks the payment directly with ZainCash, including that the amount paid matches the order. The order is only marked paid once ZainCash confirms the payment went through, which means nobody can mark an order as paid by tampering with the page they land on.
Getting Started
Contact ZainCash to open a merchant account and get your test and live details. Then open payment settings in your Trinavo store, select ZainCash, paste your details, send ZainCash the address your store shows you, and you are ready to take payments.
If you sell to customers in Iraq, ZainCash lets them pay the way they already pay. Your Trinavo store is already prepared for it, so turning it on is a matter of minutes rather than a project.
