Hand the Parcel Over, Keep the Order in Your Store
Your store is connected to Bosta. When an order is ready, you send it to Bosta from the same screen where you manage everything else, a courier comes to collect it, and every step of the delivery shows up on the order by itself.
No retyping a customer's name, phone number and address into another dashboard. No copying a tracking number back. No wondering whether the money was collected.
What Bosta Is
Bosta is a delivery company founded in Cairo in 2017, with Mohamed Ezzat as co-founder and chief executive. It was built for online sellers from the start: last-mile delivery and cash collection for businesses that sell on the internet and ship to the customer's door.
In 2021 Bosta raised a $6.7 million Series A led by Silicon Badia, and in 2022 it opened in Saudi Arabia. In early 2026 it opened a $5 million automated sorting centre in Egypt that handles 11,000 parcels an hour.
For you that means a courier with its own fleet and its own hubs, in both of the markets it serves, rather than a broker passing your parcel along.
What You Can Do
Send Orders With One Click
Open an order, choose Bosta, and the shipment is created. The customer's details and address go across automatically from the order you already have.
You can also select a batch of orders and send them all at once at the end of the day, instead of handling them one by one.
Collect Cash on Delivery
Cash on delivery is still how most customers in Egypt, and a large share in Saudi Arabia, prefer to pay, and it is fully supported.
If an order has not been paid for online, your store tells Bosta exactly how much to collect at the door. If the customer already paid on your website, nothing is collected. You never work the amount out yourself, and the courier never asks for the wrong figure.
Print Bosta Waybills
The waybill comes from Bosta itself, so it is the one their couriers and hubs expect to scan. Print it from your orders screen on A4 or A6 paper, and print a whole day's orders into one file instead of opening them one at a time.
Follow Every Shipment Automatically
This is the part that saves the most time, and there is nothing to set up for it.
Every order your store sends to Bosta tells Bosta where to report back. As the parcel moves, the order moves with it: to "In Delivery" when it is picked up, to "Delivered" when it reaches the customer, and back to you if it is returned. Your store also checks with Bosta on its own every fifteen minutes, so an update is never lost.
You do not copy a link anywhere, refresh anything, or keep Bosta's website open.
See Why a Delivery Did Not Happen
If an attempt fails, the reason is kept on the order: the customer did not answer, asked to postpone, or gave an address that needs correcting. The order stays in delivery, because Bosta tries again. When a customer calls to ask what happened, the answer is on the screen in front of you.
Let Customers Open the Parcel
Many customers will only pay once they have seen what is inside. Turn on package opening and Bosta's courier lets them check the parcel at the door.
Bosta asks for photos of what is in the box when you allow this. Your store sends your product pictures along with the order, so there is nothing extra for you to upload.
Cancel a Shipment You No Longer Need
If a customer changes their mind before the parcel is collected, cancel the shipment from your store. The order stays with you, and you can send it again later or with a different delivery method.
Addresses Are Matched for You
Bosta delivers by city and area, and every parcel needs one. Your store matches what your customer typed at checkout to the right area on Bosta's map, in Arabic or English, so your customers keep filling in the address the way that feels natural to them.
If an address cannot be matched, you choose what happens: name a fallback area so the order still goes out, or leave it empty and the order waits for you to correct the address rather than going to the wrong place.
Getting Started
- Create a business account on Bosta.
- In the Bosta dashboard, open Settings, then API Integration. Confirm with the code Bosta texts you, then create an API key with Full Access and copy it. Bosta shows the key only once.
- In your store, add a new delivery method and choose Bosta. Set the environment to Production, paste the key, choose Egypt or Saudi Arabia, and save.
- Reopen the delivery method to choose the pickup location the courier collects from, or leave it on your default Bosta location.
- Press Test. Once it passes, the method is ready and delivery updates are connected.
A key with less than Full Access works for everything except cancelling a shipment from your store.
Delivery Charges
You decide what your customers pay for delivery. Set your own shipping prices by area in your store, exactly as you do today, and keep offering free shipping above a certain order value if that is how you sell.
What Bosta charges you for the delivery itself is agreed with Bosta and settled on your account with them.
Who It Suits
Bosta is a good fit if you sell in Egypt or Saudi Arabia and:
- Most of your customers pay cash on delivery
- Your customers expect to open the parcel before they pay
- You ship a steady flow of orders and are tired of entering them twice
- You want delivery updates on your orders without setting anything up
If you sell in other countries, your store also supports other delivery companies, and you can run more than one delivery method side by side.
