Watch this tutorial to learn how to: Product Tags.
Steps in this tutorial
- In this tutorial, we will group products with tags, like Gifts or Travel, and let shoppers filter by them in the store.
- Open Modules to find the product tags screen.
- Product tags live under System Settings, next to item attributes.
- Open Product Tags.
- Tags are organised in groups. Each group becomes one filter in your store, for example Occasion, Season or Collection.
- Click the button to create the first group.
- Type the group name as shoppers will see it above the filter, then create it.
- The group opens on its own page. Its tags go in the Tags list below.
- Bulk Add lets you type several tags at once.
- One tag per line. Tags the group already has are skipped, so nothing is added twice.
- The tags are ready. Drag them to set the order they appear in the store.
- Now open a product to tag it.
- Tags are in the Specifications tab.
- Choose as many tags as fit the product. Each one shows its group, so similar names never get mixed up.
- Save the product.
- To tag many products at once, use the Tags column in the product Excel import, written like Occasion: Gifts; Season: Summer.
- In the store, the group appears as a filter, with how many products carry each tag.
- A shopper ticks a tag to see only the products that carry it.
- Done. The list now shows only the tagged products. Tags in one group widen the results, and tags from different groups narrow them.
