Manage Bookings

Watch this tutorial to learn how to: Manage Bookings.

Steps in this tutorial

  1. In this tutorial, you will turn your store into a booking system for services. Our example is a hair salon: we will enable bookings, add a staff member with working hours, make a product bookable, and create an appointment for a customer with a payment link.
  2. From the sidebar, open Settings.
  3. Choose Booking Settings.
  4. Turn on Enable Bookings. This unlocks appointments and the booking calendar for your store.
  5. The slot rules appear once bookings are enabled. Here you control the time between slots, how early customers must book, and how long an unpaid booking holds its slot. The defaults work well for most stores.
  6. Save the settings.
  7. Now let’s add your team. Open the Modules menu.
  8. Under Bookings, choose Staff.
  9. Click New Staff Member.
  10. Enter the stylist’s name and contact details.
  11. Now set the weekly working hours. Click Add Working Hours and choose the day and the hours. You can add several rows, even split shifts on the same day.
  12. Click Create to save the staff member.
  13. Next, let’s make one of your products bookable. Open Products.
  14. Open the service product. In our salon, it is the Haircut and Styling session.
  15. Go to the Booking tab.
  16. Turn on Bookable Service, set how long one appointment takes, and choose which staff members can perform this service.
  17. Save the product.
  18. Now for the best part. Open the Modules menu again.
  19. Everything is ready. Go to the Booking Calendar.
  20. This is your booking calendar. A customer just called the salon asking for an appointment, so let’s book it for them. Click an empty time slot.
  21. Click New Booking.
  22. Choose the service, keep any available staff member, and confirm the time. Then enter the customer’s name, mobile, and email. For a new customer, an account is created automatically, so their next booking is even faster.
  23. Click Submit to create the appointment.
  24. The appointment is on the calendar, and a regular order was created with it, so it can be paid like any other order.
  25. Click the appointment to manage it: you can confirm it, reschedule it, or cancel it. Let’s share the payment link with the customer.
  26. The link is ready to share: open WhatsApp with a message prepared for the customer, or copy the link and send it any way you like.
  27. Let’s copy it. The customer opens this link and pays online before their visit.
  28. One last stop. Open the Modules menu.
  29. All appointments are also available as a list under Bookings, with their status and payment state.
  30. That’s it! Your store now takes appointments: your team, your services, and every booking managed from one place.
