Steps in this tutorial

1. Welcome to this tutorial on product pricing and discounts in your Trinavo Shop.
2. From the sidebar menu, click on Products to open the products list.
3. Click the New Product button to create a product with a manual discount.
4. Enter the product name.
5. Select a category for the product.
6. Set the current selling price to 75.
7. Set the old price to 100. This creates a visible discount on the storefront, showing the original price with a strikethrough.
8. Now let us add a product image.
9. Save the product. It will appear on the storefront with a 25 percent discount.
10. Here is the product on the storefront showing the discount badge and strikethrough old price. The 25 percent Off badge is calculated from the old price and selling price.
11. Now let us set up a category-level discount. Click on Categories in the sidebar.
12. Click the edit button on the category to modify its settings.
13. Switch to the Advanced tab to access pricing settings.
14. Expand the Pricing section. Here you can set a default discount for all products in this category.
15. Set the discount percentage to 20. Products without an explicit old price will automatically show a 20 percent discount.
16. Save the category with the new discount percentage.
17. Now let us create another product in the same category to see the category discount in action.
18. Click the New Product button to create a second product.
19. Enter the name for the second product.
20. Select the same category.
21. Set the price to 50. Notice we are not setting an old price. The category discount will apply automatically.
22. Add an image for the second product.
23. Save the second product.
24. Both products now show discounts on the storefront. The first product shows its manual discount, while the second product automatically receives the 20 percent category discount.
25. You have learned two ways to show product discounts: setting an old price manually, and using a category-level discount percentage for automatic discounts.
