Watch this tutorial to learn how to: Scan At The Counter.
Steps in this tutorial
- A barcode scanner makes the counter much faster. Let us see what happens when you scan.
- There is nothing to set up: connect the scanner and scan.
- Scan a product and it goes straight onto the ticket. There is no list to pick from, so your eyes stay on the customer.
- A code the store does not know is never lost. The register tells you, and leaves the code in the search box so you can find the product yourself.
- Some codes cover a whole colour, because its sizes share one label. Scan one and the register asks only for what is missing: the colour is already chosen.
- Tap the size the customer is holding.
- Without a scanner, tap the product instead. It opens with every option it has.
- A product with many options makes a long list. The colours and sizes at the top narrow it down.
- Tap a colour to show only its sizes.
- Then a size, and one option is left.
- Tap it to put it on the ticket.
- Three lines on the ticket, and the scanner found two of them.
- No scanner? On a phone or tablet, the camera button reads barcodes too.
- Barcodes are added from Products: one for each option, or one for each colour when its sizes share a label.
