Watch this tutorial to learn how to: Supplier Statement And Aging.
Steps in this tutorial
- Two questions every store owner asks: what does this supplier say I owe, and which bills should I pay first.
- Open Modules and go to Purchasing.
- Open the Purchasing group.
- Click Suppliers.
- The list already shows what each supplier is owed, in their own currency.
- For the detail behind that number, open the supplier’s statement.
- Every bill and every payment, in order, with the balance after each line. This is the page you send the supplier when your figures disagree.
- Narrow it to a period and the statement still stands on its own, because it opens with the balance carried in.
- Download PDF gives you the same statement as a file to send them.
- Now the other question. Open Modules and go to Reports.
- Open the Reports group.
- Click Supplier Aging Report.
- One line per supplier, and what you owe them split by how late it is. The right-hand columns are the ones to worry about.
- Bills that are not late yet sit in their own column, and so do bills with no due date at all. Neither is called overdue.
- Set an as-at date to see the book as it stood at the end of a past month, ignoring anything paid since.
