Steps in this tutorial

1. In this tutorial you will sell a digital product: an online course the buyer opens through a link, with a workbook to download. No shipping, and the buyer gets everything from their order page.
2. A digital product is created exactly like any other product. Start with its name.
3. Category and price, just as usual. There is no separate setting that marks a product as digital.
4. What makes it digital is this tab: Digital Files. It is on every product.
5. Here you list everything the buyer receives after the purchase: links, files, or both together.
6. Add the first one.
7. Type decides what you are delivering: a file you upload, or an external link. A course lives behind a link, so choose External link.
8. This is the link the buyer opens after paying: your course platform, a video folder, a private page.
9. Display Name is what the buyer reads, so write it for them, not for yourself.
10. One product can carry several items. Add a second one for the workbook.
11. This time keep the type as Upload file and upload the workbook itself. PDF, ZIP, images, audio and video are accepted, up to one hundred megabytes.
12. The Display Name is filled in with the file name off your computer. Replace it with something the buyer will understand.
13. The course link and the workbook, side by side on one product.
14. Save the product.
15. Now see it the way your customer does, from the storefront.
16. Open the course page.
17. It is bought like anything else in the store.
18. Continue to checkout.
19. The buyer still fills in the usual details, then moves on to payment.
20. Any payment method works. This example uses payment on delivery so you can watch what happens when the payment is recorded.
21. The order is placed.
22. Open the order to follow it.
23. Back in the panel, the order is waiting for you to record its payment.
24. Mark it as paid.
25. Confirm.
26. And there it is on the buyer's own order page: Digital Downloads, holding everything you attached.
27. Open link takes the buyer straight to the course.
28. And Download hands over the workbook.
29. That is a digital product from end to end. What the buyer receives is saved into the order at the moment of purchase, so editing the product later never changes an order already placed.
