Steps in this tutorial

1. Point of Sale lets you sell face to face at your counter. Let us switch it on and open it for the first time.
2. Open Modules from the side menu.
3. Everything about the register lives under Point of Sale.
4. Open Point of Sale Settings. This is where you set the register up.
5. Two sections here: what prints on the receipt, and the rules for your cashiers.
6. Choose your receipt paper width. Eighty millimetres is the usual size for a counter printer.
7. The receipt header prints under your store name. Your address or tax number belongs here.
8. The footer prints at the bottom, so it is the right place for your return policy.
9. Set the largest discount a cashier may give. Leave it at zero to allow none at all.
10. And decide what happens when a product runs out. The customer is usually holding it, so warning is the normal choice.
11. Save your settings.
12. Open Modules from the side menu.
13. Everything about the register lives under Point of Sale.
14. Now open Point of Sale from the menu. This is the door to the register from now on.
15. Press Open Point of Sale. It opens in a new tab, so this page stays where it is.
16. And there is your register: your products on one side, the ticket on the other. It loads once, then opens instantly every time after that.
